Being engaged in church is about more than merely attending Sunday services. We need the help of people who share our passion for leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. If you share that passion, you can fully engage in the life of the church by doing four things:
Grow
Connect to God through biblical teaching and engaging worship. Growing spiritually doesn't happen when we know what Jesus says. It happens when we apply what He says. Connect with others. To grow spiritually, you have to be connected relationally.
Serve
Serve God by loving others! Most of us want to make a difference. God calls us to serve one another. He has gifted each of us with a particular set of skills to impact and influence the lives of others through our local church. When you volunteer your time and talent at Westside, you help others to be growing followers of Christ. When you’re fully involved in the life of a church, God uses other people to help you grow, and He uses you to help grow other people.
